Newsletter Manager - STEM INNOVATION PROGRAM - Volunteer Role

We are seeking a highly organized and creative Newsletter Manger to help coordinate and manage our organization's weekly emails and social media posts content. As the Newsletter Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the production of our regular newsletter, which includes drafting content, managing email distribution, and ensuring that the newsletter meets our organizational standards and goals.

The Stem Montessori Academy of Canada is a federally registered not-for-profit regional science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) program open to all students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application. The STEM program educates students from preschool to high school and is available to all children nationwide. SMAC specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

Key Responsibilities:
•	Develop and implement a strategic plan for the organization's newsletter, including content, design, and distribution.
•	Write and edit engaging and informative content for the newsletter, which includes features, news, events, and other relevant information.
•	Work closely with the organization's team to ensure that the newsletter reflects the organization's goals, values, and mission.
•	Manage the distribution of the newsletter via email and other channels, and ensure that the newsletter is delivered on a regular basis to subscribers.
•	Monitor and analyze the performance of the newsletter, and make recommendations for improvements to increase engagement, open rates, and other key metrics.
•	Work collaboratively with other teams and departments to gather content and ensure that the newsletter is delivered on schedule and with high quality.

Requirements:
•	Minimum 1+ years experience managing newsletters
•	Outgoing, spontaneous and gregarious nature
•	Highly focused, detail-oriented, and very conscientious of meeting project restraints and timelines
•	Highly collaborative style; experience developing and newsletter team.
•	Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills
•	A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives
•	Self-starter, able to work independently; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives
•	Applicants must have an understanding of charitable and not-for-profit organizations
•	Ability to attend online Zoom meetings

Other Information:
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our biggest and most important STEM Innovation Summer Program to date, running across 4 provinces!

The volunteer requirements for this program is a commitment of at least 2-4 hours per week from April 2 - 15 and will last until June 30, 2024. We have a lot of exciting opportunities including team leadership, management, supervisory, and VP positions available for this project.

This STEM Innovation Program is not just about tasks - it's about commitment, dedication, and delivering results that will change lives. Together, we have the power to create positive change and leave a lasting legacy in our community.

*Please note, that you must be available for the next 3 months if you commit to a position listed above. All volunteers on board for this project must be available to attend weekly team meetings on any ONE of the following days:

- Thursday evenings 8 pm Eastern - 40 - 60 minutes, OR
- Sunday evenings 8 pm Eastern - 40 - 60 minutes, OR
- Wednesday noon 12 pm Eastern - 40 - 60 minutes
