Alberta Invasive Species Council Casino Fundraiser
The Alberta Invasive Species Council's (AISC) next fundraising casino will be held on October 30 and 31, 2025 at Starlight Casino in Edmonton! These fundraisers are crucial to the AISC's financial sustainability of the organization. Volunteers working more than one shift must hold the same position and are required to have a government-issued ID with them during the event. Please email execdirector@abinvasives.ca with the date and times you are available to help out! 6:30PM to 4:00AM on Oct 30 as Chip Runner 11:30PM to 3:30AM on Oct 30 as Count Room Volunteer x2 10:00AM to 7:15PM on Oct 31 as Cashier x2 6:30PM to 4:00AM on Oct 31 as Banker or Cashier 11:30PM to 3:30AM on Oct 31 as Count Room Volunteer
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
The AISC was established as a non-profit society in 2006. Since then, they have worked to protect Alberta from the impacts of invasive species through education campaigns, by implementing the Biocontrol Release Program, revamping the Certified Weed Free Forage Program, debuting the new Rats on Rats! campaign, hosting a yearly conference to bring students, researchers and practitioners together and SO much more! Volunteering with the AISC will help take action against invasive species!
