Bow Valley Equine Adaptive

What do we do?

We offer therapeutic/adaptive equine activities, under the direction of a certified therapeutic riding instructor. We offer horseback riding, primarily at Camp Chief Hector, 15 minutes east of Canmore. Our horsemanship program operates in Canmore and in Banff, both programs are run May through October. Our programs are suitable for children and adults and with physical, intellectual, cognitive, or developmental impairments.

We seek volunteers who are the age of majority, are physically active to help us tack the horses for lessons, lead the horses during lessons, as well as volunteers to walk alongside the rider for support emotionally or physically.
