History: In 2008, community leaders identified an increasing need for mental health services, opportunities for families to connect and access to appropriate supports in the community. As a result of this, North Rocky View Community Links Society was formed through the amalgamation of Airdrie Family Services Society (1982) and North Rocky View Community Resource Centre Society (2001). Who We Are: Community Links is a non-profit organization dedicated to community development. Based in the vibrant North Rocky View Region, including areas like Airdrie, Beiseker, Crossfield, Irricana, and North Rocky View County, we're committed to addressing local issues and providing essential services to residents Your Role: As a Board Member, you'll play a pivotal role in governing and strategically overseeing Community Links' operations. Here's what you'll be doing: - Championing Our Mission: Spread awareness and advocate for the importance of our services in the community -Fueling Growth: Get involved in fund development activities and support special events -Strategic Planning: Help shape our mission, vision, values, and priorities - Leadership Support: Ongoing evaluation of our Executive Director - Commitment to Excellence: Uphold our values and policies while treating everyone with respect and dignity
