Airdrie Citizens on Patrol

Airdrie's chapter of Citizens on Patrol (COP) is looking for any volunteers wanting to be the eyes and ears of their community.

COP has been a nation-wide organization since 1991, aimed at boosting crime prevention by having residents scout their neighbourhoods for incidents.

Commitment is relatively minimal. COP members meet once a month for an hour-long meeting and are required to perform one patrol a month.

You act as the extra set of eyes and ears keeping the community safe. Patrols are four hours long and members are always paired up with another person. If a COP patrol comes across a crime or anything suspicious, they observe, take pictures, and contact the RCMP. they act as the eyes and ears only.
