Board of Directors

4 hours / monthly
2 year term
The CDH Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers who live and/or work in Halton Region and are passionate about building a stronger, more connected Halton community through social planning, volunteerism, and civic engagement. The CDH Board plays a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization through governance, planning, and leadership.

CDH is a nonprofit, charitable organization focused on the impact of economic, political, social, and cultural forces on individuals, families, and stakeholders in Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton, and Oakville.

Directors serve on the Board for a term of two years with options to renew.  Board meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm, primarily over ZOOM.  Directors may also participate in ad hoc committees. The time commitment is a minimum of four (4) hours per month.

CDH welcomes applications from people with disabilities and encourages people to make requests for accommodations at any point in the process.  Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate that they are committed to equity and social justice and have a passion for and/or experience with one or more of the following:

-Community needs in Halton Region;
-Accounting and financial practices;
-Human services and nonprofit organizations;

-Legal knowledge and expertise;
-Citizen engagement and collective impact practices.
