Family Volunteer
Our Family Volunteer role is one of two roles that directly work with children on our program, and their siblings. Family Volunteers receive an in-depth training offered only twice per year, facilitated by experts in pediatric palliative care. Completing this training results in the ability to work 1:1 with a child on program and siblings without supervision. Family Volunteers also provide mentorship to new Peer Volunteers, welcoming them in-house, and providing in the moment support & feedback. Family Volunteer shifts are available daily at the following shift times: 9:30am - 12:30pm, 1:00pm - 4:00pm, and 5:30pm-8:30pm. Due to the needs of the house we ask that volunteers are able to commit to one (3 hour) volunteer shift on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
