Tour/Camp Assistant (Abbotsford)
Assist with school tours and pro-d and spring/summer camp groups. Volunteers are needed each year between March - August Tour Assistants (9:30am-1pm) Support our BCAITC staff by engaging and educating the children by reading the station signs or helping the children understand different areas of agriculture. Assistants help engage students by asking questions about the station they are at. Tour Assistants are an extra set of eyes to make sure the students do not go out of bounds. They setup and take down tents and setup learning stations and help with clean up. No experience necessary! Camp Assistants (8am-noon and/or noon-4pm) Support our BCAITC staff by engaging and educating the children . Assist with the coordination of agriculture-related activities and games. Extra supervision of the campers ensuring a safe environment. Assisting with daily tasks like set-up and clean-up. Must like to have fun and be outside! No experience necessary! Volunteers can sign up for the date(s) and time(s) that work for them. The closest public transit stop is less than a 10 min walk away (by Delair Park)
