DEFEND's Social Media Work Stream Leads (or team members) are responsible for prioritizing and drafting media messaging, creating a social media plan and working with the other DEFEND teams to develop long term social media success.  This may include some educational messaging, overall social media management and creation planning. You will work with our premium account on Canva to create graphics. It's easy to learn and drag/drop. You may also work with a graphic artist to create custom pieces. 

The Social Media Team Leads (or supporting team members) will drive the engagement, promotion  and creation of DEFEND's online brand reputation and will effectively be the brains behind our visual or social media. 

TIME COMMITMENT: A few hours per week (remote work)

Key Responsibilities
 -Research, develop and understand DEFEND's social media needs.
-Manage, create and develop strategic messages and plans around DEFEND's public messaging. 
-Work with other DEFEND teams and meet regularly (around your team's own schedule) to brainstorm and develop content in line with our mission
