About Us
Camp Quality Alberta is a volunteer driven non-profit charitable organization that provides free uplifting camp experiences for children affected by cancer and blood disorders and their families. We facilitate a 1-week overnight camp program, in Isle Lake Alberta. Camp Quality was brought to Canada in 1988, initiated by a group of dedicated volunteers. Our overnight camp programs serve campers between the ages of 7 - 17. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated volunteers for our summer camp program.

Overnight Summer Camp
Our overnight camp program gives kids affected by cancer a chance to just be kids! Groups of camper are matched with a volunteer CAMPanion (Camp Counsellor) who is there to support them throughout the week. The matching which takes place ensures campers are well taken care of and prioritizes their success. You can expect many classic camp activities, like swimming, sports and games, canoeing, adventure, arts and crafts and more!

Description of Role
As a program volunteer, you could be assigned to a number of roles at camp; which you can indicate your preference on your application form. CAMPanions work directly with campers and have the opportunity to participate alongside them; playing games, singing songs, encouraging and cheering them on as they engage in the program and make new friends.

At camp, we also have Super CAMPanions. They support in giving CAMPanions breaks during the week, help lead activities and more! In this role, you’ll show up ready for fun and be flexible! This role is really cool, because you get to engage with lots of campers during the week!

Volunteers have the opportunity to lead a pre-planned activity at camp if they like; we encourage you to indicate this on your volunteer application.

Commitment
Confirmed volunteers are required to attend a single day of mandatory training before camp begins. Volunteers must be on-site for the camp program for the duration of the week.
