The Vice-President is an elected member of the Executive Committee who performs the duties of the President when necessary and reports on committee work as an ex-officio member of all ad-hoc committees. They support the President in strategic planning, advocacy, communications, and membership recruitment. Occasional event planning may be required. The Vice President should consider putting their name forward for President at the end of their term as part of a succession planning strategy, but it is not required.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Members of the Executive Committee play an important role in the vitality of St. Albert Public Library, supporting its goals of literacy, leisure, and community-building for the St. Albert community. Volunteers will gain valuable insight into non-profit management and be part of an active team with enthusiasm, ideas, and library love at all of our meetings!
