-
This program is designed highlight RDCO’s 2024 strategic priorities of Health and Wellness. It connects people to nature and encourages the benefits of being outdoors. Bridging Generations aims to promote physical activity, combat social isolation, and foster meaningful connections between generations. Residents and students will be partnered together for the 30-minute bridge to bridge walk along the Mission Creek greenway. The program will run from April to June 2024 and again from September to early November 2024.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
An excellent chance to engage and interact with the retirees and seniors of Kelowna. Intergenerational programming is beneficial for those of any age and it's a great way to meet new people and make connections.
Being out in nature on this easy walkway is a chance to rejuvenate and be with others in an outdoor setting.
Great work experience for anyone interested in Recreation Therapy, senior care, teaching, environmental education and more.
