About Our Organization

Young Mind’s Eye (YME) is a not-for-profit organization aiming to provide educational services to the underprivileged population. Our Organization originally started as our student group Help Young Minds at the University of Alberta. We now focus on establishing our organization on a national scale to serve more youths out there. At YME, we strive to work together as a team, support each other and push each of our programs forward in order to make an impact on our community.

About This Position

We are looking for motivated individuals who are passionate about:
1) outreaching to communities through both online and in-person efforts
2) connecting youths in the communities to our programs to meet their needs

The volunteer will be doing the following tasks: 
- Create posters for advertising the program 
- Assist on maintaining the Facebook website by posting contents every week
- Connect with online community through Facebook 
- Identify the communities that are suitable for the program
- Contribute in meeting discussion to improve outreach planning 
- Mentor new outreach team members 
- Meet virtually one-on-one with interested participants to the program 
- Conduct outreach presentations to virtual workshop, if needed
- Attend team meetings at least once a week (subject to change)
