Technology Director

Are you an animal lover looking to support a great cause? Our mission is to inspire, develop, and provide quality, evidence-based education, research, and other charitable activities in animal training and behavior.

The Technology Director is a pivotal role within the IAABC Foundation, responsible for overseeing and optimizing the organization's technological infrastructure. This position involves managing technology initiatives, implementing innovative solutions, and ensuring the seamless operation of digital systems to support the Foundation's mission.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate, implement, and manage technology systems to support organizational goals.
- Collaborate with the team to understand technology needs and provide strategic recommendations.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, technology partners, and service providers.
- Develop and implement cybersecurity measures to safeguard digital assets and sensitive information.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and make recommendations for their integration.
- Lead and coordinate technology-related projects, ensuring timely and successful execution.
- Provide technical support to team members and troubleshoot technology-related issues.
- Ensure data integrity and implement data management best practices.
- Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the organization's website.
- Develop and oversee team positions as needed.
- Maintain a consistent presence by participating in team meetups and ongoing communication in team Slack channels as needed.

Job Requirements - Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Familiarity with website and content management systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to technology and digital systems
- Knowledge of cybersecurity measures and best practices
- Technological proficiency, including familiarity with relevant software and tools
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Polite, clear, professional, and responsive  written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work and manage team members effectively in a remote, diverse, international team environment
- Team communication using Slack
- Availability to volunteer 3-5 hours per week
