Board Directors at Wellspring Alberta play a crucial role in providing strategic guidance and oversight to support the organization's mission and vision. Our Board Directors contribute their expertise and knowledge to ensure the effective governance, financial stability, and long-term sustainability of Wellspring Alberta. 

Responsibilities: 
Governance and leadership: 
• Actively participate in board meetings, contributing insights and expertise to inform decision-making processes. 
• Provide strategic guidance to ensure the organization's mission, vision, and values are upheld. • Collaborate with fellow board members and senior leadership to develop and implement effective governance policies and practices.
 • Stay informed about the organization's activities, programs, and services to provide informed guidance and support. 
Financial oversight: 
• Review and approve annual budgets, financial reports, and audit results to ensure fiscal responsibility and compliance. 
• Assist in fundraising efforts by leveraging personal and professional networks and making personal contributions as appropriate. 
• Monitor financial performance and provide guidance to ensure the organization's financial health and sustainability. 
Advocacy and community engagement: 
• Act as a Wellspring Alberta ambassador, representing the organization at public events and community gatherings. 
• Foster relationships with stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, government representatives, and community partners.
 • Advocate for the organization's mission and services, promoting awareness and support within the community. 
• Assist in developing and implementing strategies to expand Wellspring Alberta's reach and impact.
