Junior Facilitator

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Junior Facilitator to join our team. As a junior facilitator, you will mainly be responsible for assisting the lead coordinator in planning and hosting financial literacy workshops for youth.

The Role
• Assist the lead facilitator in conducting workshops for youth
• Set up event space and help with event registration and check-in
• Help prepare workshop materials and activities
• Facilitate group discussions and activities
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required


Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Passion for education and working with youth from equity-seeking groups
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience working with youth is preferred
• Prior experience with tutoring, teaching or mentoring is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of financial and employment concepts is preferred BUT not required
● Completion of a background check (completed by our organization)

Location: Calgary, AB (Blended remote and in person)

Time Commitment: 3-4 hours per week (two 90-minutes sessions per week, plus prep time)
Duration: 6 months

Training:
●  60 minute introductory meeting covering material overview, expectations and protocols
●  Ongoing supervisor support and check-ins
