events, identify sponsorship opportunities, and assist with writing grants.

FDC MEMBERSHIP AND COMMITMENT

SBT’s Fund Development Committee helps to ensure that everyone has the chance
to attend a performance, be part of a cast or crew, or hone their skills in one of our
fantastic theatre classes. Members spearhead fundraising goals and plans, to ensure our
programming remains affordable and accessible for all Calgarians. Along with the Board,
FDC works towards delivering StoryBook’s MISSION and VISION to help steward community theatre that can be enjoyed by all.

Fund Development Committee members support StoryBook’s Board of Directors behind
the scenes, participate on committees, review and create policies. Regular meetings are
typically held quarterly, with additional meetings close to any special events.

StoryBook is committed to achieving a member composition that represents the
community we serve. Both on and off our stage, SBT believes that inclusivity and
diversity are integral to the stories we tell. We encourage people of all ages, gender
identity, race, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, and ethnicity to apply.

FDC members are responsible for preparing for and attending all FDC meetings. Attendance is also expected at some show opening nights and other special events.
