Friendly Visitor Volunteer ( in Person, By Phone)
Many seniors in our community experience isolation and loneliness. The COVID-19 pandemic has compounded these experiences. Friendly Visiting is a meaningful way to give back to the community and make a difference in the life of a senior. Our Friendly Visitor Volunteers explore common interests, share experiences, and build connections with their senior pair. You may also learn something new yourself! *Anyone over the age of 18 can apply for this position, and we also have a need for volunteers who are seniors themselves.
Additional Details & Skills Required

Certification or Education Required
We ask that volunteers: *live in Calgary, AB *be willing to obtain a Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search *be kind and patient, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate professionalism *background in social work is an asset, but not mandatory
