Secretary, Instrumental Society of Calgary

Since 1979, the Instrumental Society of Calgary has showcased the best local musicians in Calgary. Our concert selection process is unique and interactive within the musical community. We work with professional musicians in the Calgary area to carefully create a theme and concert program for the upcoming season. The chamber music selections include established pieces as well as new works by Canadian and international musicians.

Secretary - The Position 
Member of the Boards of Directors reporting to the President
Maintains records of the board and ensures effective management of the organization’s records.
Maintains the organization’s Google Drive 
Manages the minutes of board meetings
Ensures minutes are distributed to members in a timely manner after each meeting
Manages GoDaddy email (in absence of an IT coordinator)
Manages regular mail.
Monitors the Organization’s “Information” email.
Responsible for the Annual Return of the Society to the Alberta Corporate Registry 
Responsible for the Annual Return for Society and Non-Profit Company to the Canada Revenue Agency

Qualifications
Interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in writing and reading English
Time management skills
Organizational and management skills
Computer literacy

Time requirement:
Variable. Average 4 hours/week
