Are you fluent in Spanish and passionate about making a positive impact in your community? Do you have the heart to provide companionship and support to someone with sight loss? CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind) is seeking a dedicated Spanish-speaking volunteer to assist and socialize with an individual who is blind or partially sighted.

Role Description: As a Spanish-speaking CNIB Volunteer Companion, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for an individual with sight loss. Your ability to communicate in Spanish will provide a unique and welcoming connection for them, helping to combat isolation and promote socialization.

Responsibilities & Tasks:
• Accompany the individual during leisurely walks or outings.
• Engage in friendly conversation, providing a compassionate and understanding presence.
• Assist with various activities that foster socialization and independence.

Commitment:
• This is a flexible volunteer opportunity designed to fit your schedule.
• We ask for a minimum commitment of two hours each week for six months.
