CNIB Companion/Reader Volunteer - South west, Calgary

Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in your local community? Do you have a few hours to spare each week? CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind) is seeking dedicated volunteers in South West Calgary to provide support an individuals with sight loss who is seeking companionship and to mail/newspapers.

As a CNIB Volunteer Companion/Reader, your presence can brighten someone's day and make a world of difference in their life. You'll have the opportunity to engage in friendly conversation and provide much-needed companionship and socialization.

Responsibilities & Tasks:
Meet the individual in their home 2-3 times a week to read mail and newspapers.
Engage in friendly conversation and be a reliable, caring companion. 

Requirements:
Must be willing to read mail and newspapers to a CNIB client, engage in conversations, and provide companionship.
Must be reliable and committed to volunteering on a regular basis.

Commitment:
This is a flexible volunteer opportunity tailored to your availability.
We ask for a minimum commitment of two to three hours each week for a minimum of six months.
