Web Developer - STEM INNOVATION PROGRAM - Volunteer Role

The Stem Montessori Academy of Canada is a federally registered not-for-profit regional science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) program open to all students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application. The STEM program educates students from preschool to high school and is available to all children nationwide. SMAC specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

Duties & Responsibilities:
•	MemberPress knowledge required
•	Web Development Developer/Manager to manage the project direction and determine steps to completion. 
•	Manage all actions to be implemented during the project and ensure good communication between participants.
•	Manage various problems encountered (unidentified technical constraints, human resources management, conflict resolution, need for material resources, etc.) in order to solve them and allow the continuity of the project.
 
Requirements:
•	STRONG knowledge of MemberPress, and working with implementation
•	STRONG technical knowledge
•	Knowledge of working with Moodle, Github, WordPress, MySQL
•	Speak effectively with both the technical team and management.
•	Highly focused, detail-oriented, and very conscientious of meeting project restraints and timelines.
•	Highly collaborative style; experience developing and marketing team.
•	Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills
•	A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives
•	Self-starter, able to work independently; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives 

Other Qualifications :
•	Applicants must have an understanding of charitable and not-for-profit organizations.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our biggest and most important STEM Innovation Summer Program to date, running across 4 provinces!

We need eager volunteers to help us plan, and execute this program. Whether you are a new volunteer or a past volunteer, we are reaching out to you to see if you have any time to lend. We need your help!

The volunteer requirement for this program is a commitment of at least 2-4 hours per week from April 2 - 15 and will last until June 30, 2024. We have a lot of exciting opportunities including team leadership, management, supervisory, and VP positions available for this project.

*Please note, that you must be available for the next 3 months if you commit to a position listed above. All volunteers on board for this project must be available to attend weekly team meetings on any ONE of the following days:

- Thursday evenings 8 pm Eastern - 40 - 60 minutes, OR
- Sunday evenings 8 pm Eastern - 40 - 60 minutes, OR
- Wednesday noon 12 pm Eastern - 40 - 60 minutes
