Graphic Designer - STEM INNOVATION PROGRAM - Volunteer Role

Do you have a passion for design, technology, and education? The Stem Montessori
Academy of Canada is looking for a creative volunteer Graphic Designer. Working
closely with the Marketing Team and the Social Media Coordinator, you will take the lead
on developing SMAC’s online presence (infographics, brochures, etc.), help spread
awareness of STEM, and share information on our programs and initiatives. This is a
remote position within Canada.

The Stem Montessori Academy of Canada is a federally registered not-for-profit regional science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) program open to all students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application. The STEM program educates students from preschool to high school and is available to all children nationwide. SMAC specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

•	Enthusiastic and exemplifies a good work ethic - dedicated and committed
•	Great at planning, organization, leadership and teamwork, and time management

Duties & Responsibilities:
•	Work collaboratively with the Marketing Team
•	Generate engaging and informative content for the SMAC social media pages and accounts (Website, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram)
•	Design marketing materials, brochures, infographics, presentations, web elements, etc. as needed
•	Work on other creative projects and initiatives assigned by Marketing or managers
Requirements:
•	Excellent graphic design skills (a current or recent student of Graphic Design or related education would be an asset)
•	Knowledge of Canva, Adobe Suite, and similar programs
•	Keen attention to detail and ability to multitask
•	Ability to attend occasional weekly Zoom meetings

Other Information:
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our biggest and most important STEM Innovation Summer Program to date, running across 4 provinces!

The volunteer requirements for this program is a commitment of at least 2-4 hours per week from April 2 - 15 and will last until June 30, 2024. We have a lot of exciting opportunities including team leadership, management, supervisory, and VP positions available for this project.
With all hands and hearts on deck, we have the opportunity to make an even greater impact on our community than ever before.

*Please note, that you must be available for the next 3 months if you commit to a position listed above. All volunteers on board for this project must be available to attend weekly team meetings on any ONE of the following days:

- Thursday evenings 8 pm Eastern - 40 - 60 minutes, OR
- Sunday evenings 8 pm Eastern - 40 - 60 minutes, OR
- Wednesday noon 12pm Eastern - 40 - 60 minutes
