Fundraising Team Member - STEM INNOVATION PROGRAM - Volunteer Role

Do you have excellent campaigning and communication skills and are looking for a virtual volunteer experience? The STEM Montessori Academy of Canada is looking for a passionate and driven Volunteer Fundraising Team member who wants to make a difference by advancing our program development via crowdfunding campaigns. In this role you will help us with coordinating our crowdfunding campaigns, create and distribute content on social media, reach out to influencers and journalists and form partnerships to yield a successful campaign.
The Stem Montessori Academy of Canada is a federally registered not-for-profit regional science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) program open to all students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application. The STEM program educates students from preschool to high school and is available to all children nationwide. SMAC specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

Key Responsibilities:
●	Work under the supervision of our Marketing Director to create a marketing strategy to launch the campaign
●	Deal with the logistics of our crowdfunding outreach - media, social media, editorial
●	Create original content and successful utilize existing content
●	Ability to roll out the campaign while working continuously to improve its reach
●	Process and analyze donation data
●	Write and prepare funding proposals for approval
●	Act as the first point of contact for prospective and current donors

Requirements:
●	Exceptional interpersonal skills
●	Previous experience in fundraising or crowdfunding is an asset
●	CFRE certification would be an asset
●	Experience coordinating events and campaign logistics
●	Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
●	Knowledge of digital communications and marketing tools
●	Must be able to come in to the virtual office at least once per week for 2 hours

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our biggest and most important STEM Innovation Summer Program to date, running across 4 provinces!

We need eager volunteers to help us plan, and execute this program. Whether you are a new volunteer or a past volunteer, we are reaching out to you to see if you have any time to lend. We need your help!

The volunteer requirements for this program is a commitment of at least 2-4 hours per week from April 2 - 15 and will last until June 30, 2024. We have a lot of exciting opportunities including team leadership, management, supervisory, and VP positions available for this project.

With all hands and hearts on deck, we have the opportunity to make an even greater impact on our community than ever before. This STEM Innovation Program is not just about tasks - it's about commitment, dedication, and delivering results that will change lives. *Please note, that you must be available for the next 3 months if you commit to a position listed above. All volunteers on board for this project must be available to attend weekly team meetings on any ONE of the following days:

- Thursday evenings 8 pm Eastern - 40 - 60 minutes, OR
- Sunday evenings 8 pm Eastern - 40 - 60 minutes, OR
- Wednesday noon Eastern - 40 - 60 minutes
