Donation Manager - STEM INNOVATION PROGRAM - Volunteer Role

Do you have excellent campaigning and communication skills and are looking for a virtual volunteer experience? As a Donation Manager, you will be responsible for managing the donation for the STEM Innovation Program. Your primary role involves engaging customers, promoting charitable giving, and ensuring the security of donations. The STEM Montessori Academy of Canada is looking for a passionate and driven Volunteer Donation Manager who wants to make a difference by advancing our program development via campaigns. In this role, you will help us with coordinating our campaigns, creating and distributing content on social media, reaching out to influencers and journalists, and forming partnerships to yield a successful campaign.

The Stem Montessori Academy of Canada is a federally registered not-for-profit regional science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) program open to all students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application. The STEM program educates students from preschool to high school and is available to all children nationwide. SMAC specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

Key Responsibilities:
●	Ensure the donation box, if applicable, is prominently placed, clean, and visually appealing within the store.
●	Safeguard the donations, ensuring it remains secure at all times.
●	Conduct regular collections of donations, logging and recording contributions accurately.
●	Educate customers about the charitable cause supported by the donation box and encourage contributions.
●	Answer inquiries related to the charity or donation process courteously and accurately.
●	Maintain detailed records of donations collected and submit reports as per the store's procedures.
●	Relay customer feedback, concerns, or suggestions
●	Adhere to all store policies and guidelines, ensuring alignment with the store's values.
●	Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality regarding donations and donor information. 


Requirements:
●	Customer service experience preferred.
●	Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
●	Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
●	Reliable and punctual with a commitment to assigned shifts.
Must be comfortable standing and engaging with customers for extended periods.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our biggest and most important STEM Innovation Summer Program to date, running across 4 provinces!

We need eager volunteers to help us plan, and execute this program. Whether you are a new volunteer or a past volunteer, we are reaching out to you to see if you have any time to lend. We need your help!

The volunteer requirements for this program is a commitment of at least 2-4 hours per week from April 2 - 15 and will last until June 30, 2024. We have a lot of exciting opportunities including team leadership, management, supervisory, and VP positions available for this project.

With all hands and hearts on deck, we have the opportunity to make an even greater impact on our community than ever before.

*Please note, that you must be available for the next 3 months if you commit to a position listed above. All volunteers on board for this project must be available to attend weekly team meetings on any ONE of the following days:

- Thursday evenings 8 pm Eastern - 40 - 60 minutes, OR
- Sunday evenings 8 pm Eastern - 40 - 60 minutes, OR
- Wednesday noon Eastern - 40 - 60 minutes
