About PMV:  

PMV (Project Management Volunteers) is a very unique initiative, which focuses on connecting non-profit organizations with volunteer project management professionals. Check us out at https://pm-volunteers.org/ .We are seeking a volunteer Director Of Community Engagement to join the Marketing and Communications team.

Work Location: 		All volunteers work remotely.  Candidates in Vancouver, BC or PST preferred. 

Our Culture: 

We started with a couple of project managers sitting around a coffee table talking about "giving back".  In our first year, 2010, we had 1 project and 1 volunteer project manager.  Today we are proud to be on the threshold of helping almost 300 organizations achieve their project goals through professional project management.  That's leverage.  And our Project Services are entirely pro-bono.  We have grown 5-fold and continue to find new opportunities.   The diversity of our team, and range of experience and skills are simply amazing.  We are making a difference, one project at a time. 

Estimated Time Commitment:   
Volunteer at least 3 hours per week, virtual. 
Minimum commitment of 24 months is required. 

Scope of work 
- Plan, develop, and execute community engagement strategies 
- Develop communication guidelines and ensure consistency 
- Organize online events, send newsletters, publish content and post messages to drive community engagement 
- Hire, and guide Community Engagement team members 
- Track and report community engagement KPIs and outcomes every month. 
- Revise current strategies and seek potential improvements 
- Collaborate with the cross functional teams to improve community management 

Desired Qualifications 
- Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, or Public Relations 
- 3+ years of community management experience, coordinating teams, and/or other - planning-related duties, working with non-profit would be considered an asset 
- Experience creating content such as newsletters, podcasts, videos, success stories, blogs, social posts for project managers or non-profit/social impact focused organizations. 
- Player-coach who can nurture happy and high performing team of volunteers. 
- Strong project management and cross functional collaboration skills  
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

Accountability:  
The Director of Community Engagement will have end-to-end accountability for improving community engagement and influencing repeat projects from existing clients and volunteers
