Calgary Alpha House Society

Alpha House is a non profit charitable organization that seeks to create safe and caring environments for women and men with alcohol and addiction use issues. We support clients towards recovery as part of our understanding of the harm reduction philosophy. We use a stages of change model that supports incremental steps within a continuum of care in our shelter, detox, outreach and housing programs. Many of the men and women we work with have mental health concerns and have been impacted by chronic homelessness and trauma and we strive to provide trauma informed care. We provide ongoing withdrawal and crisis management.We value hope through service and the provision of well-being to our clients.
