ARK is looking for Event Team Members to join our team!

Do you have a way with people? Do you want to make a tangible impact with a child and their family?  We have an opportunity for you! 

We are looking for a volunteer event helper to support the Director of Events. You would help prepare, coordinate all the finer details of an event to help make it a fundraising success! This opportunity offers plenty of flexibility and creativity and to take parts of a project and make it your own.

Accessibility Renovations for Kids (ARK) is a Calgary non-profit, whose goal is to ease the daily lives of children with mobility challenges by renovating or modifying their family home to make it more accessible.

The ideal candidate is a gifted organized host with the ability to persuasively communicate ARK's mission and successes to vendors and attendees. 

Previous experience in event work is considered an asset, but not necessary. 

Time Commitment: Approximately 3 hours per week
 
Responsibilities:
•	Research potential fundraising ideas and vendors. 
•	Work with Director of Events to obtain necessary information for event coordination
•	Maintain event finance spreadsheet, activity tracking system, and related confidential files

Qualities & Skills:
•	Strong organizational skills, time management and internet research skills.
•	An ability to work well under pressure; self-motivated, detail-oriented
•	Non-profit fundraising and professional writing experience is preferred. 
•	Great written and oral communication skills are key 
•	Computer skills 
•	Strong work ethic
•	Committed and takes volunteerism seriously.
•	Last but not least you must be willing to have fun because volunteering with us is awesome
