Social Media Manager or Specialist

OVERVIEW:  As the team lead of the Social Media Team, the Social Media Manager drives all social media activity for VAFF by managing and working with Social Media Content Editors to implement campaigns according to the Social Media Strategy set by the Social Media Director under VAFF’s Marketing Strategy.
DETAILS:
Understand the brand values, image and vision and assist the Social Media Director/ Marketing Director/ Creative Director / Media Director to oversee that all SM content support and reflect them.
Support Project teams to help them complete the Social Media Plan and execution strategy for each project for the social media (SM) team to follow.
Manage the SM team to ensure that they are following the Social Media Strategy and ensure team workload gets evenly distributed year round, and coverage is scheduled during events for live posts.
Develop and monitor the SM Master Calendar
Select and setup listening tools to monitor, respond to and moderate social media conversations on managed platforms.
Assist in tracking the effectiveness of social media efforts and gathering data for monthly or quarterly reports
Research and analyze new social media trends, sites, tools and news; make recommendations for how to best support partners and sponsors
Participate in monthly meetings with at least 60% attendance

Additional Details & Skills Required
Has experience creating or maintaining a Social Media Strategy and 3+ years experience in marketing through social media
Has experience managing others or has good empathy skills
Constantly curious about the latest social media trends and ways to monitor them
