Hey there! 👋 We’re Kaleidoscope Mental Health Support Society, a registered charity dedicated to peer support, connection, and breaking down barriers to mental health care. Our mission? To create a community where people with lived experience—especially those navigating early psychosis—feel empowered, supported, and heard. We’re all about inclusivity, accessibility, and meaningful storytelling that makes an impact. Who We’re Looking For We welcome volunteers who "get it" because they’ve been there. This includes: People with lived experience of mental health challenges or neurodivergence Those who have experienced psychosis, mood disorders, anxiety, or other conditions Anyone who has accessed peer support or mental health services Caregivers, family, or loved ones supporting someone with lived experience Individuals from equity-deserving communities (Indigenous, racialized, LGBTQIA2S+, disabled, etc.) We believe lived experience is expertise 💡—your voice, skills, and creativity can make a real difference! What You’ll Be Doing (aka Your Superpowers 🦸) As our Email Marketing Lead, you’ll take charge of Kaleidoscope’s email campaigns—helping us engage our community, keep people informed, and share powerful stories. Your role is key in ensuring that our emails inspire, educate, and connect with our audience in a meaningful way. Plan, write, and design engaging newsletters, campaign updates, and event announcements Manage and grow our email list, ensuring our outreach is effective and well-targeted Create compelling subject lines and content that people actually want to open and read Segment our audience to personalize email campaigns and increase engagement Analyze email performance (open rates, clicks, etc.) and tweak strategies for better impact Work with our content, social media, and SEO teams to align email messaging with our broader outreach strategy Ensure accessibility in email content, making sure everyone can engage with our communications What We’re Looking For 3 - 5+ years of experience in email marketing, digital communications, or nonprofit outreach 10 – 20 hours per month for someone serious in gaining experience in a volunteer leadership role and a career in email marketing. Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, ConvertKit, or similar) Creative writing skills—you can craft engaging, authentic messages that resonate with people Basic design skills (Canva, HTML for emails, or experience designing templates is a plus!) An analytical mindset—you’re curious about what works and what doesn’t and aren’t afraid to experiment Passion for mental health advocacy and peer-led support Self-motivation and the ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
