Hey there! 👋 We’re The Kaleidoscope Mental Health Support Society, a registered charity dedicated to peer support, connection, and breaking down barriers to mental health care. Our mission? To create a community where people with lived experience—especially those navigating early psychosis—feel empowered, supported, and heard. We’re all about inclusivity, accessibility, and making mental health support more human. Who We’re Looking For We strongly encourage applications from folks who identify as peers of Kaleidoscope—basically, people who “get it” because they’ve been there in some way. This could mean: Lived experience with mental health challenges or neurodivergence Personal experiences with psychosis, mood disorders, anxiety, or other mental health conditions People who have accessed peer support, mental health services, or alternative recovery pathways Caregivers, family members, or loved ones of those with lived experience People from equity-deserving communities—including Indigenous, racialized, LGBTQIA2S+, and disabled individuals We believe lived experience is expertise 💡 and want to create a space where you can use your voice, skills, and creativity to make a difference! What You’ll Be Doing (aka Your Superpowers 🦸) As our SEO & Content Lead, you’ll develop and implement a content and SEO strategy that ensures Kaleidoscope’s website and blog are accessible, engaging, and easy to find online. This role blends SEO best practices with impactful mental health storytelling—because what we write should be as human and supportive as the work we do! Content & Blog Strategy 📝 Develop and maintain an SEO-driven content calendar for our website and blog Plan, write, edit, and optimize blog articles that support our mission and improve mental health literacy Lead volunteer writers by providing content briefs, topic ideas, and editing support Work with our marketing & social teams to ensure content is promoted effectively across platforms SEO & Website Strategy 🔍 Lead and coordinate the SEO/Copy team to keep content organized and on track Optimize website content, metadata, internal linking, and structure for long-term search visibility Track and analyze SEO performance—monitoring rankings, traffic, and keyword opportunities Conduct SEO audits and make recommendations for ongoing improvements Support the website migration from WordPress to Wix, ensuring smooth content transfer Collaboration & Mentorship 💡 Work with our marketing, website, and leadership teams to align content with strategic goals Mentor volunteer writers and editors, helping them develop skills in SEO, content writing, and digital storytelling What We’re Looking For 5+ year of experience with SEO, blogging, content creation, or website optimization 10 – 20 hours per month for someone serious in gaining experience in a volunteer leadership role and a career in SEO and Content Strategy Familiarity with website platforms (WordPress, Wix) and SEO tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, etc.) Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills A passion for mental health advocacy and strengths-based storytelling Self-motivation and the ability to work independently while being part of a team
