Fundraising Volunteer

We are a non-profit organization that empowers people with disabilities through volunteer-built custom assistive devices that overcome obstacles to independence. We are seeking a motivated volunteer to help lead local fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will work with the Edmonton Chapter Coordinator and Prairie Regional Coordinator to set fundraising goals and have creative control to meet those goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement (with the help of the Chapter and Regional Coordinator) a fundraising plan for the Chapter to achieve the goal of sustainable local funding.
- Cultivate and nurture successful and productive relationships with current and potential corporate/foundation sponsors and individual donors.
- Write grant proposals to corporate, foundation and government funders.
- Assist in online Peer-to-Peer campaigns
- Cold calling for In-Kind Donations when needed (Covid-19)
Requirements:
- Grant writing skills.
- An understanding of budgets.
- Ability and flexibility to work from home.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
