Website Developer Volunteer

SITE BC (Society of Internationally Trained Engineers of British Columbia) is
looking for a volunteer web developer to develop a Job Board webpage/module for the website www.sitebc.ca.

Task description:
1. Set up a development environment
2. Install Joomla and configure an extension Joom Profile
3. Lead support testing
4. Set up a testing plan
5. New member registration after confirmation
6. 3 types of users with profile required: admin, user and client

Estimated time for development around 40 hours (depending on experience).

- A candidate should be experienced in MySQL/PHP programming and
configuring Joomla.
- The installed software at the website provided by Web Hosting Canada:
MySQL/MariaDB, RubyOnRails, phpMyAdmin, Perl, Joomla, Drupal etc.
- After completion, an official letter of reference will be provided by SITE BC to
confirm the scope of work done on a volunteer basis.

SITE BC is an independent non-profit society founded in 2004 to represent the
interests of British Columbia's internationally trained engineering community
(ITEs). It is run by volunteers. The mission is to promote utilizing the full
potential of internationally trained engineers so they can contribute their
knowledge and skills to strengthen the Canadian economy.
