Project Manager - Software Recommendation Project - Eastside Arts Society

Project Management Volunteers (PMV) www.pmv.org is an organization of experienced project managers that help non-profits transform opportunities into successful projects for their community.  We do this by supporting our clients with project definition and then connecting them to the volunteer project management community.  Since 2010, we have partnered with our not-for-profit sector clients on 250+ different projects.

Eastside Arts Society Organization Mission

To preserve the unique character of Vancouver’s Eastside, and to retain, promote and develop artists and cultural production, the Eastside Arts Society is proposing an Eastside Arts District (EAD), which will include the geographic area where many artists currently live or work, and would, through legislative, economic and cultural measures, prioritize the creation, support, retention and celebration of arts in Vancouver.  The EAD will transform the arts and cultural assets in the Eastside from an informal and grassroots network of stakeholders, into a formalized organization with stable funding and secure long-term facilities for artists and cultural venue.

Project Summary
The Eastside Arts District is a brand-new organization and will require significant dependence upon appropriate software applications that will address current and future requirements.   A volunteer project manager is required to assist the management team to determine requirements and recommend appropriate software products.

Project Objectives
•	To recommend software products that meet the needs of the new Eastside Arts District organization.

Required Qualifications
•	5 years of general information technology experience
•	3 years’ experience in project management
•	3 years’ experience in database management 
•	3 years business analysis experience providing reports for management decision making
•	Experience with not-for-profit sector is desirable

Estimated Time Commitment
Expected effort is 4 hours/week.   

Start Date:  June 21, 2021			End Date: August 31, 2021

Scope of Work
At minimum, determine software requirements in areas of;
o	Project Management 
o	Database Management
o	Document Sharing and Storage

Deliverables 
•	Software Recommendation Report 

Accountability
The PM volunteer will have end-end accountability on project deliverables, reporting to the Artistic & Executive Director. 

Benefits
The Artistic & Executive Director will provide a letter of recommendation to the PM volunteer at the successful conclusion of the project and serve as a reference if appropriate.
