Project Manager - Organization Development

3-4 hours / weekly
Project Management Volunteers (PMV) www.pmv.org

PMV is an organization of experienced project managers that help non-profits transform opportunities into successful projects for their community. We do this by supporting our clients with project definition and then connecting them to the volunteer project management community. Since 2010, we have partnered with our not-for-profit sector clients on 250+ different projects.

In the opportunity below, PMV has partnered with the International Cognitive Approaches Network.

CO-OP (Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance) is an exciting intervention approach that has been successfully used with children and adults with many life challenges in order to meet their goals. The International Cognitive Approaches Network (ICAN) was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in 2019 to expand on the work begun by the CO-OP Academy. The inaugural meeting of the Academy was held in Germany in 2009 and was given international endorsement at the Invitational CO-OP Meeting of researchers, clinicians, and educators from North America, Europe, and Australia held in Toronto in 2011.

Organization Mission

The mission of the International Cognitive Approaches Network (ICAN) is based on these three key pillars;
•	Advance the development of the Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP) Approach and other cognitive approaches,
•	Lead the CO-OP knowledge translation, quality assurance and mentorship
•	Provide a forum for international networking among CO-OP researchers, trainers, practitioners, and consumers.

Project Summary

Based on the recently completed Strategic Plan, ICAN needs to develop a Business Plan to ensure a solid financial base, and an Operational Plan to map how to build the new organization, to carry it through its next stage of evolution. The goal is to put in place an organization that is empowered, well-funded, effectively administered, and sustainable.
