Sponsorship/Long-term Fundraiser Volunteer

Are you passionate about the power of education to change the world?  Put that passion and your skills to use with Education without Borders (EwB).  
Who  we are:
Education without Borders is a Canadian-based non-profit organization that provides educational opportunities for disadvantaged and at-risk children through initiatives in South Africa and Canada including after-school support programs in Math, English, Science, school leadership and youth mentorship.
Our key fundraising event is the nationwide, virtual annual South African Film Festival (SAFF) held in November, which presents feature films, documentaries and shorts that explore the culture, history and politics of South Africa – films that inspire, inform, and entertain.  In 2023, SAFF celebrates its 13th anniversary. All proceeds from the Festival support EwB initiatives in South Africa and Canada.
EwB has the following volunteer opportunity available, working remotely from home, supporting both EwB and/or SAFF.  
Sponsorship / Long term Fundraising Volunteer
EwB is looking to expand our small but determined Sponsorship / Long Term Fundraising committee.  Use your research, creativity and professional communication skills to identify and engage the support of corporate and private donors who are aligned to the goals of our South African programs and/or the South African Film Festival.  
Experience in fundraising, B2B sales prospecting, LinkedIn, and Hubspot CRM is a desirable. An interest in the South African films and culture definitely an asset!
Expected time commitment: 8 hours a month, on a flexible ongoing basis
