Financial Expert Volunteer Director Sought for Dunbar Community Centre Association (DCCA) Board or Finance Committee

The DCCA is seeking a qualified, experienced investment or endowment portfolio fund manager interested in being a voluntary Board member and/or contributing to the finance committee. This role is suitable for a current investment fund or charity endowment manager, recent retiree or consultant who wants to ensure the existing Dunbar Community Centre can thrive into the future with prudent, carefully managed financial stewardship.  

Deliverables/Duties: 
-Attendance at monthly Board meetings
-Assistance with development of prudent fiduciary, investment management, and oversight policies, procedures
-Lead the development of a specific investment policy to manage charitable assets
-Make recommendations to the board about ongoing financial risk management and appropriate asset allocations
-Provide advice and education that builds and maintains a fiduciary culture for the DCCA
-Connect investment management strategies with DCCA’s specific strategic, financial goals
Certification or Education Required
One of the following credentials:
-Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
-Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
-Personal Financial Planner (PFP)
-Responsible Investment Specialist (RIS)
-Chartered Investment Manager (CIM)
-Certified International Wealth Manager (CIWM) 
-Possess relevant Canadian Securities Licenses, able to trade in bonds, stocks, mutual funds, insurance products, GICs, REITs, ETFs etc.)
