COVID-19 Support

Looking for Fundraising Coordinators to Help Support COVID First Nations Protection Initiative

192 Spadina Ave, Toronto, ON, M5T 2C2 [map]
2-4 hours / weekly
Ongoing
Canada and the Indigenous communities of Turtle Island are looking towards a second wave of the novel coronavirus that has to date killed nearly 10,000 people in this region alone. Local skills, tools, techniques, and cultural and historical knowledge and practices of Indigenous peoples are a buffer during disasters and have demonstrated success in the face of adversity. We are looking to co-create and deploy solutions for the long-term and believe in the power local wisdom. We want to connect and empower local makers to supplies, tools, and information.

We are looking to enable these communities to safely make it through a particularly daunting and challenging winter. Part of this will include helping with supporting and promoting our organization as we coordinate the delivery of finished PPE to marginalized populations during the pandemic.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Project Northern Lights is a grassroots community organization co-creating sustainable solutions for marginalized communities. Come help build translatable skills while saving lives!
