Languages Needed:

Must be physically and mentally capable of accomplishing the various responsibilities associated with this assignment. Good communication and English skills. Possess a desire and understanding of working with the sick, elderly and disabled. Be patient, flexible, safety conscious at all times, observant, patient, persuasive and tactful.

Mealtime Companion Volunteer

2-4 hours / weekly
We ask for a minimum one yea commitment.
To assist nursing staff during meal times in providing an experience for patients to enjoy their meal in an environment that is comfortable, inviting and supportive.  Can be either assisting in the mealtime but not feeding during the mealtime, or we can train to feed patients during their meal service.
Additional Details & Skills Required
Must be 16 years of age or older. To maintain confidentiality at all times. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work alone. Have an interest in serving people, accept direction ands supervision, be dependable and committed, be friendly and trustworthy, able to communication effectively with patients and staff.  Be mature and motivated.
