Barista

150, 161 Festival Way, Sherwood Park, AB, T8A 4X2 [map]
6-138 hours / monthly
Minimum commitment term: two months.
We are a volunteer-driven coffee-house in Sherwood Park that seeks to be a space for connection and creativity. As a social enterprise the profits from the Cafe go back into the community. Our baristas will make cafe drinks, bake, and keep the Cafe running. Training is provided so no experience necessary! Shifts are on average 3 hours long and can be picked to suit your schedule. Please note that our volunteers must be available for the same shift at least every other week.
Additional Details & Skills Required
We train volunteers to do tasks they are comfortable with taking on. If you're interested in a specific area we can help train you to be independent with that area!
Certification or Education Required
No prior experience necessary-- we will train you!
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Our volunteers like to meet people in their local community, to try something new like perfecting their latte-making, and to gain work experience. Some of our volunteers also like to volunteer to practice their English and get more comfortable meeting people. If you would like to gain experience in a specific area, we love giving people the opportunity to serve with their unique gifts.
