Volunteer Mentor- Community Based Mentoring

Minimum One Year Commitment

We will match you with a young person aged 6 to 16 in Prince Albert who is facing one or more adversities in their life. By building a developmental relationship that expresses care, provides support, challenges growth, shares power and expands possibilities you can help a child or youth achieve their potential. The result is a life-changing experience for both the mentor and the mentee.

Our professional program staff provide training and ongoing support for all volunteer mentors in our programs. We match you with a child or youth that has similar interests, opportunities and goals.

The following program options are currently available:
-Big Brother Match for Male identified volunteers
-Big Sister Match for Female identified volunteers
-Big Sibling Match for non binary identified volunteers
-Big Couple Match for married/common law couples that want to volunteer together

Our community based mentoring matches usually meet weekly, but requires a minimum of two regularly scheduled meetings per month of a few hours each, and a one year commitment to the program. Matches can meet for outings in person or connect virtually. Please visit our website for more information and our full volunteer application.
