Fund Development Manager

:  Position, Fund Development Coordinator.  He/she is responsible for working with the Executive Director for planning and coordinating all aspects of fund development and public relations for Princen Sammy & Herty Foundation. Provide leadership on all fundraising & marketing initiatives including special events, gifts & planned giving, sponsorships, donor cultivation and grant
writing. Identify, organize and manage the fundraising activities with a focus on new opportunities to obtain ongoing and increased support from corporations, public and private organizations, churches, community faith groups, and individuals.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
Planning:  Develop and implement a comprehensive written annual resource development plan with strategies for donors and prospects in each community including; individuals, churches, community faith groups, civil society organizations, corporations, etc.
Monthly reports: Provide monthly reports to the Executive Director and the board which measure progress towards achieving the plan.
 Fund raising: marketing & fundraising by developing approaches such as planned giving, solicitation of bequests, and endowment programs.
Grant requests and administration: Assisting Executive Director with marketing research and writing grants for the organization.
Gifts Cultivation: Create and implement strategies for donor development and cultivation which will provide a diverse and sustainable funding base for the foundation.
Keep up-to-date on current fundraising programs, practices and procedures used in the non- profit sector and inform the Executive Director of items that would benefit the foundation. Create and implement gifts & planned giving, and volunteer giving Programs

Certification or Education Required
At least comprehensive knowledge & understanding of the nonprofit charitable sector experience in fundraising/ grant writing. Currently enrolled in degree program or B.A. preferred with an emphasis or concentration in business, marketing, public relations or related field. Advanced PC skills and expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Donor database experience desirable). Desire to work as part of a team and willingness to promote the principles of foundation’s core objectives.
