Our weekly COBS Bread program helps make fresh bread accessible to families in our community. We’re looking for volunteers to help us keep this valued service running smoothly! Volunteer Roles Available: 1. Sunday Evening Pick-Up Volunteer Pick up the bread from COBS on Sunday evening (South Ellerslie location) Keep the bread overnight. Bring it to KARA on Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. Stay to help with sorting and setup (see Role 2). 🕒 Time Commitment: Approximately 1 hour on Sunday evening + 30-60 minutes on Monday morning. 📅 Schedule: Choose how many Sundays per month you’d like to volunteer (1–4 times). 2. Monday Morning Sorting Volunteer Arrive at KARA at 8:30 a.m. on Mondays. Work with 2–3 other volunteers to: Carry the bread inside Set up tables in the hallway Sort and bag the bread Stock the bread shelf Wipe down tables and vacuum the hallway This role is great for those who prefer a weekday morning activity. 🕒 Time Commitment: 30–60 minutes on Monday mornings 📅 Schedule: Choose how many Mondays per month you’d like to help.
