Help is needed: Mask Sewing
People in your neighbourhood need your help.
The YEG Community Response to COVID19 effort, being supported by the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights, has mobilized at the grassroots level to create a Facebook Group to ensure Edmontonians in need have a space where they can reach out and access the support they need in order to weather the COVID pandemic; no-one left behind. We serve the community by working to: - provide a safe space for vulnerable community members to request and receive emergency supports and needs - provide a safe space for people to give back to their community and support those in need - disseminate important information including government releases and resources - provide a space for connection and mental health support and well-being - facilitate connection to resources via social service agencies Managing the group is a big job and we need more folks to take shifts. All posts to the group are sent for approval by admin first. As part of the team, you will approve posts, members and monitor conversation. We will send more detailed instructions upon your expression of interest. In this position we are looking for people to take 3 hour shifts throughout the week.
You will be provided an orientation folder, be coached on by lead project admins, as well as be provided a training session.
