COVID-19 Support

Community Based Advocate

In this role, you will work with a team of other community based advocates to follow up on and support complex cases in community. Within the YEG Community Response to COVID19 effort, we have some people that need more supports than what can be offered on the page. In this role, you will work with team members to ensure people don’t fall through the cracks and are connected to the right supports. 

This position will involve follow up correspondence with community members to identify needs and to work with the team and the community member to connect them to the appropriate resources, information or services. The position involves element of counselling, advocacy, research and outreach.
Additional Details & Skills Required
Your orientation will involve a minimum of an hour to orient to the work and effort and you will then be mentored in working with team members from the John Humphrey Centre and Coalition for Justice and Human Rights.
Certification or Education Required
