Frontier College has been on the forefront of literacy in Canada for more than 100 years and continues to be a leader, reaching out to people and responding to their learning needs at the so-called ‘frontiers,’ namely settlement organizations, mining camps, rural aboriginal areas, homeless shelters, prison centres, schools, and libraries. Furthermore, it provides critical youth leadership development to thousands of university volunteers each year. For more information, please visit www.frontiercollege.ca

Volunteer tutors commit one hour a week on zoom to provide homework help. Volunteers provide 1:1 tutoring support to Junior High students. In the program, it is also encouraged for tutors to share school skills i.e. studying hacks, time management, and learning practices that Junior High students can learn to develop from an early age.
