Frontier College, a national literacy organization is looking to recruit student volunteers to support children and youth with reading and homework via zoom. The pandemic has created a need for virtual learning opportunities for students who have experienced learning loss over the past six months. Increased lack of access to in-person classroom support will effect young learners who may not have support at home. Volunteers will be trained and placed one-on-one with students who require homework and reading help for one hour a week. Experience working with children and a career pursuits in the field of education will be considered assets. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org to offer your time and skills. Our applicant screening process involves an interview, three telephone references, and a police records check (Frontier College will cover the cost).
