Intergenerational DoReMi, ABC - Family Literacy Program Co-Facilitator

We're seeking a co-facilitator to support our staff in our Intergenerational DoReMi, ABC family literacy program! Our family programs use stories, games, and songs to develop early literacy skills. Join us on Tuesday mornings from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chartwell Westcott Retirement Residence. This program will run for 10 weeks from October 1st to December 3rd.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to dip their toes into literacy programming. As a co-facilitator, you would be responsible for welcoming families to the program, actively participating in songs and games, and assisting with interactive storytelling. We also request that you lead an activity yourself at least twice throughout the program. We provide training to help you feel supported as you begin in this role.

What's special about this program? DoReMi, ABC is our music literacy program that features different instruments and musical concepts each week. This intergenerational program is held at a senior living facility with the goal of bringing generations of our community together through fun literacy activities. There’s always joy, laughter, and a throwback to stories and songs from previous generations!
