Help is needed: Mask Sewing
People in your neighbourhood need your help.
Food insecurity in Edmonton has been exacerbated by the Covid 19 pandemic. The C5 agencies have responded by developing a Community Pantry Program for community members affected by the pandemic and struggling to feed their families, with funding from the Government of Canada, the Government of Alberta and the Edmonton Community Foundation. The Community Pantry Program provides over 700 families with a hamper of primarily fresh fruit and vegetables, milk, bread and other pantry necessities every other week. Every week we hear form our community members how their hamper helps relieve some of the stress created by the pandemic and economic slowdown. We are looking for volunteers to assist with hamper delivery, from the C5 Hub to those in need.
