Fundraising Team Lead

2-6 hours / weekly
6 months term to start
In this position, you will help drive forward the planning and strategy around fund development as well as coach volunteers to help with logistics and organizing.

Ainembabazi’s Fundraising Team Lead will be responsible for:
- Stewarding leadership and organizing work around fundraising for the organization.
- Working with the Board of Directors and Fellow Team Leads to build and implement a fundraising strategy for the organization.
- Recruiting, organizing and coaching volunteers to organize logistics and details for fundraising activities.
- Liaising and collaborating with the Communications Team Lead to ensure effective flow of communications to meet the Fundraising Teams goals.

Ainembabazi has a framework for action moving forward. We are looking for team leads to help build out the action plan and strategy further and work with us to move it forward. Our goal is to build a solid volunteer network that is contributing to education, advocacy and fundraising to support the rights of children, women, girls and communities in East Africa.

Human rights issues are cross continental and impacts felt in places like Uganda, have impact right here at home. We are looking for people who are prepared to commit to working together in solidarity to raise awareness and work across our borders to advance children’s rights.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
As global citizens, we have a responsibility to be engaged, aware and conscious about our role and impact in the broader global community. Children bear a unique impact when they are born into situations where their rights are violated. You should volunteer for this to directly impact and support young people as well as to more broadly educating and advocating for the protection of children’s rights in East Africa.
